Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for a Field Placement Coordinator. The person in this role is responsible for placing approximately undergraduate social work students with in local agencies. The person in this role will review students' field applications and resumes and then conduct interviews with each student. The coordinator is responsible for contacting partner agencies to see if they are taking students for the fall for either a two-semester placement (200 hours each semester) or a single-semester placement (four hundred hours). The Field Placement Coordinator not only matches students with placements they also help students set up their interviews and follow up with the agency after the student interviews to get feedback. Once the placement is confirmed, they need to document where each student is placed and ensure that the student has a field supervisor. Liaising with seminar instructors,  this person will check to ensure things are going well throughout the semester and help with any academic reviews that might have to take place specific to field instruction. Overall, this role is responsible for the oversight of all curricula related to the field.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Master Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution by the time of appointment.
• Two year demonstrated professional work experience in the social work field.
• Demonstrated experience with Zoom and Microsoft teams, Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, public, college community and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed Master Social Worker

Work Schedule: M-F 8am-4pm
Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $53,000. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
