Job Summary: The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), part of SUNY Brockport, State University of New York is accepting applications for a Director of Academic Affairs. The person in this role oversees all aspects of instruction at the REOC. They will research, develop, and implement new programs and all curricular matters. They will lead the recruitment, training, retention, evaluation, and support of academic staff and faculty and assure proper assessment of student learning to enhance and improve instruction and student success. They will oversee program approval and re-approval, distance learning platforms, labor market research, and the academic calendar. Additionally, they will assure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines including performance guidelines promulgated by the State University of New York and the faculty and staff contracts. The qualified candidate will also build consensus through community outreach to enhance program development and liaise with local school districts, businesses, and community-based organizations to address educational and training needs of the community. The Director of Academic Affairs is responsible for REOC in the absence of the Dean/Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in Education, Management/Leadership, or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university by the time of appointment.
• At least 5 years of progressive and relevant work experience including substantial work at a managerial level, preferably in an educational institution.
• Three years of teaching experience in an academic institution.
• Demonstrated successful experience in academic program development (including curriculum development) and personnel supervision.
• Experience working with diverse student and organizational populations.
• Excellent written, oral communication and technological skills.
• Available to work occasional evenings and weekends with the ability to travel from the REOC campus to meetings and events.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Terminal degree from an accredited higher education institution in the US or abroad.
• Experience working with faculty in a unionized environment.
• Ability to analyze data to support decision making.
• Knowledge of Banner, Blackboard, and Brightspace.

Work Schedule: 40 hrs/week/one evening per week
Salary and Benefits: $90,000 to $100,000 is the salary range. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
