Job Summary: The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), part of SUNY Brockport, State University of New York is accepting applications for a Special Events Coordinator. The person in this role will work directly with the REOC Business Affairs Department, REOC Academic Affairs Department, REOC Culinary Arts Program (Bistro), and SUNY Brockport Downtown campus to provide a full range of support including book purchasing and distribution program, re-stocking and maintaining REOC Student food pantry, and handling special events reservations for the REOC Multipurpose Room. The Special Project Coordinator will complete multiple tasks and effectively work on multiple projects with competing priorities/deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
• Demonstrated experience with the planning and execution of events.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats.
• Ability to work effectively with students, public, college community and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences.
• Ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and work within a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed (nights/weekends/holidays).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
• Must have a valid NYS driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Master's Degree from an accredited higher education institution in the US or abroad.
• Experience working in Higher Education.
• Knowledge of Banner, Blackboard, and Brightspace.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm; some nights and weekends
Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary is $47,882. May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
