Minimum Qualifications: |
• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university. • Proficient in CAD drafting programs (AutoCAD or Vector Works). • Experience in stage and scenery construction. • Knowledge of common theatrical hardware and adhesives • Knowledge of standard and safe theatrical rigging practices. • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret theatrical drafting for scenic construction. • Ability to access and conform to local, state, and federal building, safety, and fire codes. • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations necessary for building from schematic drawings (i.e., figuring angles, measuring lengths, calculating square footage). • Ability to maintain a clean work environment and basic knowledge of chemical hygiene practices.
