540WMain, Inc is a virtual non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and antiracist education brand that promotes justice for all.
The Graduate Fellow will collaborate with the Founder/CEO and Operations Manager as the Membership & Community Engagement Ambassador. The Membership & Community Engagement Ambassador serves as a brand ambassador for 540WMain, Inc. engaging with potential organizational members and building relationships with existing members. As our Membership and Community Engagement Ambassador, you are passionate about building communities in Rochester and Monroe County. You also have excellent social skills and are a strong communicator in both written and verbal mediums. In addition, you have an interest in social media and graphic design. You must be committed to antiracist practices, equity, accessibility, and social justice. You will conduct outreach through social media, virtual and in-person community fairs, networking events, and community meetings to expand 540’s member base.
What You’ll Do... ❏ Create social media posts and graphics that help us connect to existing and new members. ❏ Write and edit copy text to be used across all 540’s social media platforms, including email newsletters. ❏ Create marketing and social media content that is high-resolution, ADA-compliant, and in compliance with 540's branding guidelines. This includes but is not limited to graphics, flyers, gifs, and videos. ❏ Research and foster new members by being an expert resource and an active listener who is continually engaged with user feedback. ❏ Utilize our team’s best practices and workflows while also bringing innovations and creative process improvements.
❏ This position is primarily remote with monthly in-person work. ❏ Applicant needs a personal computer and access to reliable internet. ❏ Reliable transportation is necessary.
