Job Summary:
SUNY Brockport has openings for Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding) positions in various departments across campus. More information on the specific departments will be discussed further in the process. Office Assistants perform office support and clerical work to meet the requirements of agency programs.  Such work may consist of, but is not limited to: data entry; math or calculations; mail, supply, and inventory-related tasks; keyboarding and other document preparation tasks; answering telephones; completing forms; assisting customers; creating or assisting in the preparation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables; and other related activities. 

To be an eligible candidate for this position you must meet the Minimum Qualifications listed below.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding) NY State classified position or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service eligible list for Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding) Full-Time, Brockport location.

OR

Provisional Appointment: In the absence of an eligible list with three or more candidates willing to accept a position, a temporary provisional appointment may be considered.

Provisional candidates must take the examination for Office Assistant 1 Keyboarding when it is next offered and must be reachable on the resulting eligible list to maintain employment.

   
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday
Salary and Benefits: May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.  This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
