Job Summary: |
SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an Experiential Learning Program Coordinator (ELPC).The person in this role will be responsible for working with faculty in developing new, and revising existing, courses taken during sophomore, junior, and senior years, that conform to current pedagogical standards and expectations for online, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction. The ELPC will work with faculty in the university's Learning Management System (Brightspace) and associated add-in tools (e.g., Kaltura CaptureSpace, VoiceThread, Ally, SafeAssign, etc.). While some instructional design skills are required for this position, the primary focus will be on curriculum development and support for faculty designing experiential learning activities in their sophomore, junior, and senior courses. The person in this role might join an English Department meeting for 20 minutes to introduce a system for developing e-portfolios, a high-impact practice to help students to organize and showcase their best assignments. As a follow-up, the ELPC could suggest a session with a Career Design Center representative to discuss how to use e-portfolios as part of applications to internships (another high-impact practice), then integrating artifacts from those internships to finalize an e-portfolio for use in applying for future employment.

Minimum Qualifications: |
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, curriculum development, instructional technology, education, or similar field from a regionally accredited college or university by the time of appointment.
- Working knowledge of Brightspace (or similar LMS) and embedded tools.
- Expertise or a background in one or more of the following is required: (a) experiential learning (b) online and hybrid learning (c) serving nontraditional learners (d) Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER), and/or (e) assessment of student learning. - Ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Master’s degree in instructional design, curriculum development, instructional technology, education, or similar field.
- Curriculum development.
- Online teaching experience, preferably within the higher education environment.
- Strong project management and follow-up skills.

Salary and Benefits: |
