Job Summary: |
SUNY Brockport invites applicants to apply for the Administrative Assistant 2 in the School of Nursing will report directly to the Dean. The Administrative Assistant 2 serves as the principal administrative support accountable for the successful administration of the Dean's office.
Major responsibilities include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Dean’s Office.
- Monitoring and reconciling all budget accounts.
- Coordinating communication between the dean, leadership team, faculty, and staff.
- Designing and maintaining office procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Promotion: one year of service as Administrative Assistant 1
Must be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service canvass list for Administrative Assistant 2 OR be transfer eligible.

Preferred Qualifications: |
- Three years of satisfactory administrative support which includes use of office software (e.g., email, word processing), provision of customer service, business writing, and management of an office.
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, access database)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams, developing Mach forms, and maintaining electronic databases proficiently.
- Proficiency with Banner, ARGOS
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated self-initiative and ability to prioritize
