Job Summary: | SUNY Brockport has an opening for a Mental Health Counselor position (11 months) with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025. Reporting to and under the direction and supervision of the Associate Director of the Counseling Center in the Hazen Center for Integrated Care, this individual will be responsible for providing a wide range of direct mental health services to all enrolled students; developing and implementing mental health programs for the campus community; and collaborating with on and off campus offices to ensure students are able to access all appropriate resources. The Counselor will facilitate initial mental health assessments; develop treatment plans and arrange for appropriate follow up care which may include treating the student via individual and/or group counseling at the Counseling Center or referring the student to a community behavioral health provider or other community resource. Aligning with University goals, the Counselor will facilitate outreach programs and workshops and collaborate closely with campus partners to support wellness. When necessary, the Counselor is actively involved in helping manage crisis situations. |

Salary and Benefits: |
The minimum salary for this position is $52,086.
